Why GrowLocal exists.

I kept running into the same thing: genuinely great trades businesses — the best HVAC crews, honest plumbers, roofers who actually call you back — losing to bigger, slicker shops with worse service and louder marketing.

The best local businesses almost always have the worst marketing. Not because they don't care. Because nobody's ever shown them where the leaks are.

The agency model makes it worse. They sell you on the senior team, hand you to a junior account manager after 60 days, lock you in a 12-month contract, and bill whether the phone rings or not. Generic playbooks. Rotating staff. Reports nobody reads.
